Most people know where strong athletes or performers get the best training. For others, the search comes down to size, location and price. But what if you're looking for a quirky college that matches your style? Come hear about some of the funkiest colleges in the United States; schools where you: run a ranch or a nuclear reactor, study the Great Books, don't receive grades, take one class at a time, or attend for free! There are even colleges that accept students in 9th, 10th or 11th grade--no diploma necessary. Some of the colleges profiled include Bard College at Simon's Rock, Mary Baldwin College's PEG program, Deep Springs College, University of Denver, Colorado College, Cornell College, St. John's College, Reed College and Evergreen State College. Audience members will receive a handout with a short summary of each school profiled, as well as tips on finding information about, and applying to, these types of colleges.
